All social security pension beneficiaries whose pensions were sanctioned by Velloor Grama Panchayat on or before December 31, 2025, must complete the mandatory e-mustering through Akshaya Centres by September 30, 2026.

  • Respect and protect the dignity and rights of women.

  • Protect natural resources, forests, rivers, and wildlife.

  • Oppose superstitions and harmful social practices.

  • Be ready to serve and protect the nation whenever required.

🏛️ Kerala Panchayat Raj Act (1994 / 1999)

As per the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, the important responsibilities of every Grama Panchayat resident include:

🗳️ Democratic Participation

  • Regularly participate in Grama Sabha meetings.
  • Actively engage in local self-government activities.
  • Cooperate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of development projects.

💰 Payment of Taxes

  • Pay taxes on time.
  • Avoid tax evasion.
  • Support the Panchayat in increasing its own revenue.

🏗️ Participation in Development Activities

  • Cooperate with Panchayat development programmes.
  • Contribute through participation, resources, and support for local development initiatives.

🌿 Cleanliness and Public Health

  • Do not dispose of waste in public places.
  • Maintain public cleanliness.
  • Cooperate with disease prevention activities.
  • Participate in programmes related to nutrition, literacy, and legal awareness.

🌱 Environmental Conservation

  • Protect natural resources.
  • Participate in environmental protection activities.
  • Help affected people during natural disasters.

🤝 Social Responsibility

Citizens should be aware of and work against social evils such as:

🐕 Animal Protection Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper vaccination for domestic animals and birds.
  • Obtain necessary licences for animal-related activities.
  • Avoid unauthorised slaughtering in public places.
  • Do not display or sell meat and meat waste in ways harmful to public health.

🚯 Responsible Behaviour in Public Places

Citizens should avoid:

  • Littering
  • Spitting
  • Open defecation and urination
  • Smoking in prohibited areas
  • Consumption of alcohol in public places
  • Creating public nuisance

🌍 Cooperation for Development

  • Cooperate in providing land required for public development purposes.
  • Do not encroach upon public land.
  • Participate in neighbourhood groups, self-help groups, and cooperative societies.
  • Promote thrift and self-reliance.

  • Participate in activities promoting equality between men and women.
