All social security pension beneficiaries whose pensions were sanctioned by Velloor Grama Panchayat on or before December 31, 2025, must complete the mandatory e-mustering through Akshaya Centres by September 30, 2026.

🏛 Administrative Leadership

President

The President is the head of the Grama Panchayat and provides overall leadership for governance, development activities, and administrative functions.

Vice President

The Vice President assists in the administration of the Panchayat and performs the duties of the President in their absence.

📋 Standing Committees

Development Standing Committee

Responsible for development planning, infrastructure development, and public welfare activities.

Finance Standing Committee

Oversees revenue, expenditure, budgeting, and financial management of the Panchayat.

Health & Education Standing Committee

Deals with matters relating to public health, sanitation, education, and allied services.

Welfare Standing Committee

Responsible for social security, welfare programmes, and the implementation of welfare schemes.

Other Sub-Committees

Constitute and support activities related to specific sectors and special development initiatives as required.

👨‍💼 Administrative Wing

Panchayat Secretary

The Chief Executive Officer of the Grama Panchayat, responsible for the overall administration and implementation of decisions of the Panchayat Committee.

Assistant Secretary

Assists in administrative and office management and coordinates the implementation of welfare programmes and public services.

Junior Superintendent

Supervises day-to-day office administration and ensures the smooth functioning of administrative processes.

Accountant

Responsible for financial transactions, accounting, budgeting, and maintenance of financial records.

Senior Clerk / Clerk

Handles files, official records, taxation matters, public services, and other administrative duties.

Office Attendant

Provides support for the day-to-day functioning of the Panchayat office.

Grama Sabha

The Grama Sabha is the general assembly comprising all registered voters within the Grama Panchayat. It serves as the foundation of participatory local self-governance.

Grama Panchayat Committee

The governing body consisting of the elected representatives responsible for policy formulation, decision-making, and administration of the Panchayat.

President & Vice President

Provide political and administrative leadership to the Panchayat and oversee its governance and development activities.

Standing Committees

Specialized committees entrusted with responsibilities in areas such as development, finance, health, education, and social welfare to ensure efficient governance.

Panchayat Secretary
