📄 Citizens' Right under the RTI Act

Under the Right to Information Act, 2005, every citizen has the right to:

• Obtain information held by public authorities.
• Inspect records, documents, and official files.
• Obtain certified copies of documents and records.
• Access information in electronic formats, where available.
• Seek transparency and accountability in public administration.

⏱️ Time Limit for Providing Information

• Information shall normally be provided within 30 days from the date of receipt of the application.
• In matters involving the life or liberty of a person, the information must be provided within 48 hours, as prescribed under the RTI Act.
